I became aware, when studying holistic therapies some years ago, that the mind, body and spirit are all connected. I learned that the emotions we experience have a direct impact on our mental and physical health. Before entering the driver training world, I was a reflexologist, reiki practitioner and hypnotherapist. The success of my treatments would depend on finding the root cause of the problem that the client was presenting with, which was critical to the success of the session. I developed an empathetic approach by gaining strong rapport, so that I could channel the healing more effectively. I was not aware at the time that I was using some of the essential coaching skills that I discovered for myself when I became a driving instructor and took the BTEC4 with Tri Coaching followed by presentation skills, transpersonal coaching, in fact I’ve done all of the courses because I have a thirst to learn and believe that we should learn something new every day, especially about ourselves! With a strong focus on personal development, it changed the way I see myself and others in the emotional intelligent relationship that coaching brings. I want to push boundaries and explore more of myself and testing out things I’d not thought of before. As I develop I realise that the more you put into learning and living the more you get out of it. Knowing the benefits of the Tri Coaching courses from personal experience and the strengths of coaching in empowering positive behavioural change, it brings me so much joy to see others on their own journeys of self discovery delivering the BTEC4 and aCCeLerate courses.
