Mike Rogers I have been a professional driver for over 20 years. Mostly involving delivery driving. I've been blessed to see some brilliant driving and some bad ones too. In 2009, I decided that I wanted to contribute to ‘safe driving for life’ and in 2011 I became a ‘fully Qualified Driving Instructor’. Before this I delivered and installed audio and video equipment. My role was to then teach people how to use it. I liked teaching and I liked driving so to merge the two and find a path that could utilise all the skills I choose to be a driving instructor. I've taken a great deal of extra training since starting, this included becoming an ORDIT trained trainer, as well as a taste of FLEET Training. I have attended many sessions/webinars with Tri Coaching (Mostly pre covid) as well as twice a year CPD from my current franchised driving school RED. I am 1 of only 10 Instructors in the country to supply fast track training to Red Driving School candidates. Only a select few hold this position. I am currently only a few short months away from completing the BTEC LEVEL 4 Professional Award in Coaching for Driver Development. This course will help me develop the skills and techniques I need to become a top class trainer. ‘one size’ does not fit all and we all have our own learning style. Training learners drivers and other instructors isn’t about making demands about performance. It is about tapping in to the potential they already have. I decided to sign up and become part of the Tri-Coaching family. I moved into instructor training in 2013, covering a fare portion of the South West. The Tri-Coaching team has taught me that there are no limits to what I can achieve.
