Di is our trainer who mainly covers the Norfolk area but will travel dependent on customer needs.
She became a qualified driving instructor in 1983 and has been involved in all aspects of the industry, including Learners, Advanced Training, Instructor Training and Fleet. Di successfully ran a driving school with up to 30 ADIs, sponsoring many PDIs and offered CPD to them all.
More recently, in 2011 Di became curious about coaching and Client-Centred Learning and how it could be used to improve road safety, so she embarked on the BTEC Level 4 Professional Award in Coaching for Driver Development. Since completing this course she has realised that teaching students who take a passive role in learning does not necessarily produce 'thinking' drivers and that involving the student, sharing ideas and coming up with solutions together, develops the driver making them self aware, take more responsibility and are better at making decisions, once they have passed the driving test. 
Di is so impressed with how coaching has renewed her passion for driver training that she wants other ADIs to flourish and  experience the success that she now has.

Many thanks for a very enjoyable and extremely informative 2 days. Di is extremely knowledgeable in client centred learning and manages to create a very relaxed atmosphere which really helps promote active learning. The course is well structured and gradually builds up a picture of how to do things. The course fits very well with trainers who coach post test driver education as well as pre test. I feel I have gained a lot by attending the BTEC 3 course and I am very intrigued as to how much more I will pick up from the BTEC 4 course which I will be attending very shortly. Thanks again!
