Our courses have evolved from our experiences; and our years of experience have proven to be highly effective in transforming people into great ADIs, whilst also transforming the lives of the ADIs who have taken our courses.
Embracing learning is what we driving instructors encourage our clients to do, so it naturally follows that we should do exactly the same. To be open to exploring and learning techniques in a different way, and more importantly, be willing to try new techniques and embrace change; the old pre-set tests (psts) are dead and buried.
It is time to experiment with new, but nevertheless, tried and tested techniques, that have been successfully put into practice over the last ten years.
The aCCeLerate course, which introduces you to coaching and client-centred learning, is gaining rave reviews from the ADIs who are using these training techniques. Not only the trainers, but also the clients. All are being blown away by how comprehensive and effective these training techniques are. If you want to grow your skills or grow your business then enrol now. Click the date below to book today.

Emotional intelligence is probably more important than ever when it comes to driver training!

You don't need to know someone to pick up on their emotions. If you have time to listen, you will find all the solutions sit with the person.
If you coach the person, not the problem, you will find people are willing to change how they think and feel and will lead to a change in their behaviour. In fact, you can try this on yourself; if you think of a sad occasion, you will feel sad, if you think about something that gives you joy, it will bring a smile to your face.

The skills needed to manage emotional intelligence are great communication techniques, wrapped up in coaching conversations, where feedback is king. You can learn to use tools that empower yourself and your client, you can learn to adapt your own behaviour, you will help people bounce back from disappointments and find different ways to achieve success.

The great news is these techniques work on you as well as your clients. If you are prepared to invest your time, and it does take time as learning is never instant, then join us on our next BTEC Level 4 Professional Award in Coaching for Driver Development.

We are offering a saving of £300 if you pay in full and weekly instalments are just £20 a week. Follow this link to find out more about this fantastic course that simply delivers great results.

The Standards Check happens to us all!

The Standards Check happens to us all and there are some fundamentals that you can do to help, both in preparation and on the day:
  1. Do what you always do. This is great advice as the feedback you get will be directly related to what you do, day in and day out.
  2. Start a reflective practice. Take one competence a week, there are 17, and assess yourself for that week against your daily lessons. If you need help our Route 51 reflective self-help course is an option.
  3. Investigate each competence against the DVSA National Standards for Driver Rider Training. If you want to know more, you can attend one of our workshops.
  4. Encourage your clients to use a reflective log and action plans.
  5. Structure your lesson by building on the previous learning. This is the same for your Standards Check; try not to pick your favourite topic if it is not what the client needs or wants.
  6. Route planning is essential both on your lessons and your Standards Check. Consider times of day, what routes will be practical and can you go from the known to the unknown. (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced)
  7. Remember first impressions count. Apologies for stating the obvious but have a clean and tidy car and be a well-groomed ADI. This is also relevant to every lesson.
  8. Eat healthily prior to the test. A banana is high in vitamin B which helps calm the nervous system and B6 which regulates blood glucose levels, which can affect your moods.
  9. Your brain is influenced by your hydration status - drink water. Mild dehydration can impair energy levels, impair mood, and lead to major reductions in memory and brain performance.
  10. Use visualisation techniques, especially about being successful. If you visualise your Standards Check success it can improve your belief in your ability to achieve your goal and increase your motivation. Practise this technique and start to get results on any challenges you may face.
Follow this link to find out more about the products and courses we run to help you achieve success with your Standards Check.
If you would like to gain some training and support prior to your next Standards Check, please do not wait until that dreaded brown envelope falls through the door. Prepare now. You know, the more you practise, the better you will get, but it's what you practise that is important.
Join us on our next Standards Check workshop, where you receive a complementary copy of our Route 51 workbook alongside an expert tutor, who will guide you through the Model of Goal Setting and Risk Management.

FOLLOW THIS LINK TO RESERVE YOUR PLACE THERE IS ONLY 6 PLACES STILL AVAILABLE. The course includes your complimentary copy of Route 51 worth £75.

The world has changed, and you need to change with it. Here's how:
1. You need excellent negotiation skills. With ever growing waiting lists and frustrated clients, you will need every tool in your toolbox to make your business run effectively, now and in the future.
2. Coaching others requires you to coach yourself. Coaching will enhance your communication skills, bringing clarity to what is becoming a very muddled situation regarding learning to drive.
3. Your clients are already used to coaching techniques at school. They will expect you to have the same experience of how to implement teaching and learning strategies that suit their personality
.4. Having a one size fits all approach to driver training no longer works for your clients, and you know it doesn't work for the DVSA and your Standards Check.
5. You deserve a day off to feed your mind and develop your skillset. We know, that as you continue to develop, the work you do becomes easier and more rewarding.
Join our fast-track introduction to coaching on our aCCeLarate Coaching Course. This has been designed to refresh and top up your skills or, if you are new to coaching, give you the platform to take you and your business forward. Join today, we have a few places available on our next course.
